Read the message first

A “limit for using the web version” message is a limit, not a bug.

The Zeta web version has a message for this case: it says you have reached the limit for the web version and to continue with zeta pass or in the app, with a “Chat in App” button (seen in the web version’s interface text on October 27, 2026). Zeta does not publish how many messages trigger it or when it resets, and we could not confirm either.

What is known about the web limit

The only confirmed part is the outcome: at the limit, Zeta points you to zeta pass or the app. We found no official number of messages or reset time. Counts and “unlock” tricks shared online may differ by date, region or account, so treat them as unconfirmed.

Workarounds such as switching browsers or making a second account can break the terms of service and split your chat history. If you want to keep a story going, the official routes are zeta pass or the app.

Signing in

On October 27, 2026 the web sign-in page offered two buttons: Continue with Apple and Continue with Google. If you use the app with a different sign-in method, pick the one linked to the same account; otherwise your chats and Pieces may not appear.

Without signing in, the web version asks you to log in to keep chatting, see alternate replies, edit or delete messages, or create plots. Account settings also offer a Safe or Unlimited chat mode.

Buying Pieces and zeta pass on the web

A Zeta announcement dated September 29, 2026 says Pieces can be bought on the website, about 20% cheaper than in the app, and that web payment for zeta pass was planned for October. The announcement was written for Japan, with payment methods such as PayPay.

When our test account opened the purchase page on October 27, it said web payments are available in the US only and other regions should pay in the app. The listed US prices ran from $2.19 for 200 Pieces to $109.99 for 10,000. We do not know how Zeta decides your region, so check what your own page shows. Free Pieces are used before paid ones, and payment problems go to the store you bought through: App Store, Google Play or CODASHOP.

Limit or maintenance?

If you cannot sign in or pages do not load at all, it is more likely maintenance or an outage than the web limit. Zeta announced maintenance for October 26, 2026, 20:00–20:30 UTC, saying login and use would be unavailable, and reported a roughly 40-minute server outage on October 12.

If it still fails after the announced end time, look for a newer notice in Zeta’s announcements or support center.

When messages fail to send

  1. In the app, close it completely and reopen it, or update to the latest version.
  2. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then send again.
  3. Check whether the same happens with another plot or model.
  4. If it continues, contact support with the model name, the time it happened and the plot name.

These are the steps in Zeta’s FAQ. On the web, a reload or another browser can also help narrow it down.

Save the story before you decide

Before you pay or move to the app, write down what you need to continue: the character’s personality, your relationship, world rules and the last scene. Characters you created on Zeta can be moved with the character migration tool; Zeta chats themselves do not move.

How we checked

On October 27, 2026 we viewed My Page, the Pieces purchase page and account settings with a Google-linked test account signed in by our team. We also read the web version’s interface text, Zeta announcements (September 29 web payments, October 12 outage, October 26 maintenance) and support FAQs. Our test browser could not open a chat room and we sent no messages, so we did not see the limit message live and could not confirm a count or reset time.
